Meet The Fleet! Our club fleet is comprised of both the iconic Galway Hookers and a small variety of motor boats. Each boat has a story of its own. Click on the pictures of each boat below to learn more of their fascinating history.

LOVELY ANNE

Lovely Anne is a 138 year old Galway Hooker which joined our club in November 2017. The boat was restored by the volunteers of our club and continues to be sailed regularly by our club members.

ASURNAI

Asurnaí was built as a bád iomartha (rowboat) by Máirtín Casey (Máirtín Ó Cathasaigh) in 1914 on Mweenish Island, Carna. She is approximately 22’ in length. She was built for Joe Conaola of ‘Siopa Joe Conaola’ at Mace Pier, Carna.

Anam Cara

Anam Cara was purchased in September 2019 by a group of six club members who shared an interest and passion in Galway Hookers and wanted to bring another to the club.
